Engineers Got Blued

July 31, the faculty and staff of the School of Engineering and Architecture went on an adventure, rented a banca and hopped from one spot to another around Talicud Island in Samal. It was the feast of St. Ignatius and so Ateneo de Davao declared it a holiday! (Yey!) and it was a good day for swimming!

6:00 am we agreed to gather at Sta. Ana Wharf for our supposed to be 7:00 am departure. We had delays, and so we took off at 8:30. We picked up our tour guide Stephanie (Panpan) at Kaputian Wharf and off we went to our Talicud tour.

First stop was at the Mamsud wall. It is one of the diving spots in Talikud Island and very suitable for first time divers because corals are just 10 feet away from the sea surface.  Panpan also added that the city of Samal is developing the place because they…
